Don't you all remember yrs. ago on QVC they had

that CPR Call Blocker ? I've had one for 10 yrs.

It's that little black box that you run a jack (they supply)

to your plug in back of phone.

Then when you get a nuisance call just hit the

red BLOCK button and that blocks them from calling back again.  I thought everybody had one of them now.

Wouldn't take nothing for mine think Amazon probably sells them still now too.    If you block somebody then change your mind you can 'unblock' them, too.

My Panasonic phone will block whatever calls I choose.  The problem is the scammers just use a different phone # to call back.  You block that one and they still have plenty more.

@Scooby Doo, I was just going to reply about this very thing. I also have a Panasonic but they have so many different phone numbers that they use. I go through my caller ID and it's rare to see the same one twice. So even if we block them as they come in, it doesn't really do any good.

@SharkE

All newish cell phones and landline phones have the ability to block numbers without a separate gadget.  Ones I've bought in the last 10 years have and I don't buy expensive phones.

I have also been besieged by them. So, I do not answer and phone calls from 6AM to 3:45 PM.They never call at night or Sundays. I have a message on my phone that says to leave a message.

No message? No phone call back from me.

I had to take this drastic measure cause it was over whelming, and I even have a  nonlisted #, that means zilch to these creeps.

After a few months, since I never pick up the phone, the calls have diminished.

I am hoping the calls eventually stop. But, who knows. It infuriated me, but now I am used to NOT picking up the phone at certain times.

BYW, I tryed blocking them, but it did nothing, since they can change the # they call from very easily.

YES!  What happened??? We hadn't received any or quite a while and then suddenly somembody must have flipped a switch!  For the past 2 days we have received at least 7 per day and they start as early as 9:00!  It's like every 15 minutes or so they come in.  So annoying!  Can't somebody do something to stop this????   Grrrrr.......

If you still have a landline phone you are leaving yourself wide open for scam calls. Then you complain about getting scam calls. Hmm, how do you fix this problem??

We still have our landline and prefer to give that phone# out in some instances, we have caller ID and if it's a number we do not recognize we don't answer, spam calls come in spurts, then it stops after awhile.
