@goldensrbest  There is nothing better than Macintosh apples freshly picked from the tree in Maine to eat right on the spot or to bake in an apple pie. I also love a mixture of Macintosh and Courtlands for pie.

@nrm@goldensrbest, Nova Scotia has a large apple harvest annually.  The farmers are saying the apples will be smaller and sweeter.  We have Honeycrisp, Cox's Orange Pippin and a few other types of apple trees here on our property.  Both the Honeycrisp and Cox's Orange Pippin are tasting pretty good.  LM

We finally got some rain ,sunday,and monday, much needed,but still need another 7 inches to get us out of the extreme drought.

When you lose some one you L~O~V~E, that Memory of them, becomes a TREASURE.

We have had plenty of rain here in SW Pa. Everything is lush and green. Just this past Sunday we had an all day rain - everyone at the Steelers/bengals game got soaked. The week before we had been up in Erie, Pa for their tall ships festival and it got rained on the whole weekend.

Our leaves aren't turning as yet but we have tons of acorns falling.
