Re: So Who Is Ready For SPRING!!!!!!

I have engineered our lives so that we skip winter😎

The Seattle area is definitely having a worse winter than normal.

No. We only get maybe a week of spring before it gets hot. Enjoying the rain, clouds and cool weather. Summer means over 100 days of 100 degree plus and almost 30 days of over 110 degrees. I'll take this anyway.

It has been unusually warm here and I am HOPING AND PRAYING for some cold or when Spring comes we are going to be overrun by bugs.

If the bugs wait for spring consider yourself lucky.  I've already been pestered by bees, seen more than enough flies and the way the birds are pecking at the ground something else is about to come forth.

For sure, something else is about to come forth.

Re: So Who Is Ready For SPRING!!!!!!

I'm in the metro-DC area.  We've only had a few days of real winter, so I'm not complaining about winter.  I hate snow and ice, but I know that in this area, the worst month is often February, for precipitation.  March can be tricky also.  Our winter so far has been a couple of cold days, followed quickly by a few unusually warm days, then back to cold.  OK by me.

Re: So Who Is Ready For SPRING!!!!!!

We have had a pretty mild winter. This weekend we were suppose to have lots of ice. We got lucky & most of it missed us. It's still a frozen tundra outside right now with ice all over the trees. It's suppose to warm up this afternoon with rain so hopefully it will all melt. With that said No I'm not ready for spring. I prefer the cold to the heat as long as my heater works when I need it.

Re: So Who Is Ready For SPRING!!!!!!

Seems I tolerate cold better than heat, but I don't enjoy winter all that much.  Our highs in Wisconsin are supposed to reach forty by the end of this week so I think the worse is over.

It would be ok with me if we skipped winter every year. Even though I grew up in Boston and New Jersey before moving to Atlanta,  I'm not a fan of the cold weather at all.

SNOWBIRD - totally avoid winter altogether.

@151949- no interest in that at this time but thanks for the suggestion.

Re: So Who Is Ready For SPRING!!!!!!

I am so ready for spring! We have had temperatures -16 amd -17 two nights in a row. It did reach above zero (barely) during the day. Now today we are 19 ABOVE zero. It is supposed to get into the 30's this week! That would be our January meltdown. We need it. There are 20 inches of snow on the ground.

It really lifts my mood when I see snow melting and icicles dripping. Can spring be far away? Only 3-4 months. We have loooong winters around here.
