@Forbidden Fruit Yes, he was ad made a tremendous amount of money in the stock market by buying on Margin and insider trading.  Joe Kennedy was made head of Securities and Exchange Commission in 1935 and made all the practices he used to make his money, a crime and illegal.  In 1945, he purchased The Merchandise Mart in Chicago.................Joe Kennedy comes from a long line of dirty dealings!

And in addition he was a philanderer, as were at least some of his sons including JFK.
