So I ordered perfume from Zulily

When Zulily first came out I ordered from them. I stopped ordering because they were requiring I sign in BEFORE I COULD SEE ANYTHING ON THE SITE and looking for my password was a big pain.  I checked back a few times after QVC acquired them and they ware still requiring logon before I could see what was available.

Someone on this forum posted about the financial problems Q and Zu were having, so I felt badly for Zu and decided to give them another chance. Well, this time I didn’t have to logon prior to looking at the merchandise and I was glad.

I went to the perfumes and and found that they had great prices. Since it’s a QVC company, I am fairly certain the perfumes offered are not counterfeit. I was happy to find a perfume I’ve been wanting, but avoided buying because it’s been too pricey. I ordered Michael Kors Sexy Amber, EDP, 3.4 Oz for $57. I’ve only smelled the paper inserts of this, so I’m waiting to smell the real thing when it gets here today.

My bottle of Vera Wang EDP perfume is old, so I wanted a fresh one and for only  $18 for 1.7 Oz. (I know I paid plenty last time I bought this), I couldn’t resist.  The price on this was very low so I ordered. This arrived yesterday. I put it on my wrist. Gave a sniff. It’s real. When I awoke this morning, and as I type this, I can still smell it on my wrist. I’ll be back for more perfumes.

One big negative with Zu is the shipping cost. It’s  very high at $7.99 for two bottles to ship. They do have “Smart Pay,” their version of a two payments “Easy Pay.”

I check them out every morning and am automatically signed in when I click on the page.  I have to specifically hit sign out if I want to log off.  Right now until March 31st 2020, they offering a one time only free shipping.  I hope your perfume smells great.  I have considered buying that from them but so far have not.

My biggest issue with them is their return policy.  If they do take returns, it's in the form of a Zulilly credit.

I also think it's best to stick to brands you know. I have read a lot of complaints about sizing on their own clothing.  I also think some of the items are pretty old stock.  I've noticed toddler clothing on their site at a higher price than I paid in a dept. store a year or more ago.

I’m going to call and see if I can get a credit for my shipping charge. Thanks for the heads up.

I shop with Zulily quite a bit.  I buy things for my grandchildren and for my great niece.  They have the cutest kid's clothing and pj's.  I also buy tops for myself.

@Mindy D  I won't buy cosmetics from Zulilly because, like you, I worry about them being counterfeits. I see the statement next to a picture of a beauty item saying that "packaging may vary from picture." What? Why? No, I'll stick with my usual sources for beauty items that I know are the real deal. Also, their shipping takes too long.

Re: So I ordered perfume from Zulily

@Mindy D   I'm a Zulily power shopper.  I buy a lot from them, and most items have been great.  I've even bought Naturalizer boots in additional colors after paying full price for my original two pair purchased at HSN.  The ones from Zulily were less than half what I had paid for my first ones, and I already knew I would love them and what size would work.

Of course, you usually have to wait about 3 weeks to receive your orders because they don't stock the items there, they have to wait to get them from the manufacturer.  Keep in mind that once you make one purchase, you have free shipping for the rest of the day, and if on Friday, you have free shipping for the whole weekend.  So, it's best to buy one thing first at the normal $5.95 shipping ($6.95 for shoes), then make additional purchases if you want to.  If you order two things at once, they charge you more than the $5.95 (I think that's the $7.99 you paid), so you can save that way too.

I had no idea. I would have ordered my second perfume for free shipping. Great tip. Thank you.

Since QVC owns Zulily I’m not very worried about the perfumes being counterfeit. QVC has been pretty good about ensuring that customers get authentic products. I hope I’m not making a hasty decision.
