I only sporadically have been here lately, due to a bunch of personal reasons. Saw the oncologist, who has a hard time that I can't take Tamoxifen, and pointed out how many women also protested against this drug as I have now osteo-arthritis in the knees. Well, I had not been weighing myself, but knew my clothes fit better and had wanted a white summer jacket by Linea so badly, as I loved the style, but the 16 looked awful. So, now i feel that my wardrobe has doubled, since everything goes with this fashionable piece. And my BP had lowered to by 35 points, by taking cinnamon capsules. I have more to lose, as I weill at some point need to replace my left knee, so good start...
Am still in the midst of severely diseased family and friends. My cousin Betty needs a gallblatter operation and is in a lot of pain, but there are not enough beds at this time to speed up the process - not good at all. My boss finished her chemo, but has been very argumentative with me, causing serious problems, giving me less work! My other Swiss friend just finished her long time chemo as well, was very sick during the treatments, but at 76 and having uteran cancer is not looking very good... I am still praying for all of them, and so many here were kind enough to pray also. Thank you again, and esp. my boss, had no side effects at all, but I don't think she is very grateful. Not that I expect that from her, but lowering my work was double crossing me, when I need it more than most of her other staff, who each are financially independent and no I am not.
On Wedn. I will be going to NY and stay in my friend's apt. (right next to the Dakota) to get dental surgery by someone who is extremely experienced in implants and being scared about this I was very pleased to learn this and on top of that, and am getting a great discount. The crown to be done by a Dutch prosthodontist (crown specialist) and she too giving me a nice discount. Taking the cheapy buses up there and upon arrival will be getting from Fairway, the best Lachs and bagels, for dinner and breakfast as it will be days before i again can eat that. I am very lucky and have been friends with this lady, since 1968, and have been there for her too, as she is a bipolar patient in every way and has bee n very sick over the decades.
Had a lousy experience with a NY colleague who took me for granted in my own house, and expected me to look after her (i can usually not move on my legs after a tour and have to rest) and didn't lift a finger and even when i told her I have to go to sleep at 9ish before work the next day, she was obnoxiously keeping me up having to use my comp. but told me that too late, and didn't want her to work on it, w/o me. She left a mess behind her, and I was less amused. This was only a little of what happened, she was here 3 days (2 nights) and it was a disaster. Still need to do the laundry, towels, and bed stuff, etc. What a bummer. The plan was she'd take me out in NY, and now that is cancelled as well, just as fine, as I couldn't look at her straight any more. But at 55 i thought she'd have some coourtesy and decency. Oh well, i have some other nice acquaintances and friends, so I won't be bored...
Well this was my update everyone, and much to be thankful for. I have my meds. for after the surgery already here and packed so then I can just go home and relax and read as there are books (lots of them) in 4 languages, and hope I find something light.
