Where are you? My former southwest Michigan home got their first snow also. Enjoying the fb posts from my friends, as I sit in my Florida living room. 😎

@qualitygal

On my 20 mile drive to the ice rink yesterday, it snowed all the way. NW winds at 19-24mph made it a fun Interstate drive with our little gas mixer car. It really didn't accumulate, but it was not an easy and fully visible drive.

Sun is out today, but still in the 20's. Ah!  Good hockey and ice skating weather for me!

I am in Nebraska and like the changing seasons.The extremes either way are at times a little trying to deal with, but overall for me it beats the "same old, same old".

Expecting to see our first snow on the ground tomorrow morning, I will be up early to check it out. But you can bet I will be staying indoors enjoying my coffee and coffee cake!

Wow!  It's still not that cold in PA yet. Today its in the upper 40's and raining.  Wednesday there is a heat wave expected at 64 degrees.

I am not ready for cold and snow.  My summer flowers in pots are still in bloom and we planted grass that is just staring to come up.

I am already looking forward to spring.  We are being told our winter will be mild with no extreme snow falls...I hope that is correct.  When we get 61" in a month, I hate it.

Count your blessings snow people.  I've had less than 3"of precipation at my house this whole year.  Temperatures have been mostly 10° above normal every day this fall.  Today's high to be 68° but should be in high 50s.  Perfect weather with day after day of clear blue skies gets old.

NW PA downwind of Lake Erie.....today it was cold, dreary, raw.....snow showers one minute that would coat the ground, then the sun came out and melted it away....Right now, the grass is still green and visible, but there are little horizontally driven flakes in the air....

I went out to get the mail and it is COLD!!!!!

I brought all my plants in that I want to winter over...mostly geraniums that LOVE where I keep them for the winter, but they aren't very grateful to me about coming in....first they go in the garage for a bit because they drop a lot of thier leaves in protest from moving in from the cold!!!

I know you're supposed to cut them way back and leave them in the garage, but I let mine stay growing all winter...they get huge, most times they bloom, then they go outside in spring, and I cut them back then.

I'm retired so I don't mind winter as much as when I was working...my job involved a LOT of driving back and forth to Pittsburgh in the winter....that was NOT fun!!!!

Two of those geranimns used to be my Mom's ( she passed in 2015)...pretty salmon color....I KNOW I can buy new ones each spring for four dollars a pot, but I like to think they are part of her, and they are still going strong!!!
