I can highly recommend western North Carolina.  We have all that and except for the higher eleations along the Tennessee border there isn't much snow.

I got just 2 inches of snow yesterday before it changed to sleet and then all rain. Temps were above freezing last night and today and it's pretty much gone. Those are the winter storms I can handle. Today through next week is going to be dry and upper forties, which is fine for this time of year in Maryland and great for Thanksgiving.

We got 4" of snow.

Today, 40 mph wind blew all the snow off the cars & the sun melted the rest.

All I can say is thank you Q for Frost Guard because all the car windows in the p/l are covered in ice even though it's suppose to be 50° out side.  Windchill factor 20°.

@Mz iMac I see the frost guard offered on the Q every winter and have been tempted to roder a few times. I don't understand because even though the front window is clear what about the others? You still have to defrost your back windows and side windows. I turn on my car's defrost and it clears all of my windows.

@DJs mom  I have never scraped a window on my car in all the years I have been a car owner.  For the "other windows" I have always used the can spray "de-icer."  Spray & watch the ice melt right off.  My rear view window has it's own defroster/de-icer-  heating wires imbedded into the glass.

Last week my paramour gave me a gallon size windshield di-icer that you pour inside the water container for the windshield wipers.  Haven't used it yet.  Still sitting inside my trunk.

My FG came w/side view mirror sleeves.

@Mz iMac I guess my point is if you use the de-icer than you wouldn't need the FG correct? Since the FG only protects one window, whatever you use for the other windows you can use for the windshield thus eliminating the the use of the FG. I just use my car's defrost (front & rear). I may also pick up some of that de-icer you talk about for days when I am in a hurry and don't want to wait for my defrost to work.

@DJs mom

I look at it this way....

  The windshield is HUGE!  You can use up a whole can of de-icer after 2 uses on a windshield.  Probably a whole can if you have a van, truck and/or suv.

I live west of Cleveland and we basically got nothing.  It sleeted a very little bit yesterday and then that turned to nothing but rain.  It poured almost all day and was miserable, ugly and bone chilling cold but nothing accumulated.

Today is the same ugly, bone chilling cold.
