@Laura14 - I saw the same forecast model and it made me giggle. Can you even imagine????  Fortunately, they backed right off of that.

I'm in Rhode island and no storms in this section and every  in new York .jet steam is keeping all storms way down toward the south. Were good for the next 10 days just very cold.

The latest from AccuWeather here is 4-8".  Weather Underground is sticking to 4" plus (?)  One thing for sure....it will snow. And a bad wind.

@songbird  you must be talking about January 2016 when MD got a raging blizzard. I don't even remember how many feet it was.  It was statewide, but worse in Balto area.  My mom was in the hospital and it was not a good prognosis.  I made it up there, but the blizzard came and I, my sisters and dad slept two days in her room.  She passed while we were there (glad we were) but had we not stayed, we would have never be able to get back.  It was awful as MD cannot handle that kind of snow so it crippled the area for a while. 

Never want to see that again...

we moved from SW lower to Florida six yrs ago. I remember having winter weather advisories pretty much every day. Or it seemed like it. Like you said, just another winter day in the Mitten
