Count me in as a Marylander too, I hate the snow, just a major inconvenience, and worry about my 74 year old hubby shoveling.

That's always my worry, too, @Shelbelle.  Really, anything where he'll overexert himself any time of year.  He's healthy, but he's not 30 anymore.

Jean, for sure, my hubby is in great shape exercises daily for over an hour, but he will fight me over the snow, 74 is still a 74 year old heart.

It's coming towards us here in Missouri. Weatherman says it's a toss up on all snow, sleet and or freezing rain.  The storm is still over the Pacific ocean now but here by Saturday night into Sunday.  Freezing temps predicted so people are already grocery shopping today. We might get up to 4" of snow here in St. Louis. Not my type of weather !  Bah Humbug !

I don't see what people get so shocked & uptight about.  It's WINTER people!  It snows in winter.  I'm in the Midwest so I know.

another Marylander here and we are forecasted for 3 to 5 but I'm doubting that.  We are close to the beach and unless that storm comes in from the south, we rarely get snow.  This one is coming in from the west, so once it crosses the bay it tends to lose some of it's punch. But if we do get it, it's  just enough to make it a pain to trek into work.

Husband and I do shovel our 90 foot driveway but we hate doing it.  We take our time and it's an excellent workout, but it's just so cold.

We may get a dusting of snow in OK. Our problem will be the 40-60 mph wind gusts which can easily knock out power. Our low temps will be in the teens.

We really haven't had winter yet. It's basically been in the 40's-50's most days?

Stay Safe & Warm.

Marylander also (metro-DC).  They keep upping our projected total.  So far:  Sunday night - 3-5 inches and then another 3-5 on Monday.  I HATE snow!

I'm in Pa. and predicted as of now 1-3", but if it moves up a bit more to the north, it may be more. I guess Mother Nature will do what she wants. BTW, I don't like it, but we're still in a drought situation.

You're right about the direction of the snow.  I didn't know that for this round of snow.  If it comes from the west, it's a milder event.  Maryland is like that.  If it comes from the South, sometimes all hell breaks loose.  32" of snow at one time has happened here. That year    we had more snow then Boston. Even our thunderstorms are like that.  Coming from the West, it goes over the mountains and weakens them.  From the South, they come with a fury. I ordered food today (my ususal day) from instacart.  The shopper told me the stores are going crazy, stripping the shelfves bare.
