No snow flurries but in Texas close to freezing for lows, but then 60's 70's for highs....then 80, then another cool front....roller coaster time for the weather.....

@FLtricia  we loved our visit to Ellijay A few, years ago.  We said though that we would not ever want to drive down that mountain in snow or rain.  Northern Florida receives snow once in a while and it's fun.  Central Florida not so much and it's fine with me.  But boy the chill this morning here.  All kinds of records being broken.

I still haven't pulled out my jacket in North GA.

It's ridiculous that we go from 72 to 42 and the schools shut down. It's my popcorn moment every year. And yes Walmart does sell hats and gloves here. I've bought them.

Until you stand at a school bus stop knocking snow off your boots to warm your feet, you haven't been through winter.

@FLtricia    We are not far from Ellijay just one county over.  We go every year in October to the orchards for apples and apple pastries. Not much snow here yesterday just some flurries. Didn't last long but is was pretty.

@Laura14 It was 24 degrees here in Holly Springs GA this morning. And yesterday during the snow flurries it was 33. Cold enough for me to put on a coat and turn on my furnace.  Schools were not out here yesterday or today. Maybe some schools are out for Veterans Day but not in Cherokee County.

@50Mickey Several of the north GA counties are on a delay or cancelled.

No disrespect, but this is just not done elsewhere without even measurable precip.

Like you said, put on a coat and turn on the heat. I guarantee the kids can get through a school day especially since most people drive their kids to school or get door to door service with the buses around me.

I've never seen anything like it for what is simply a chilly day to most. It's a wonder the Canadians survive every year.

We live outside of Monroe, NC which is close to the SC border and had them last night. Not a flake in sight now although it is in the 30s.

We had heavy snow flurries this morning for about an hour, didn't amount to

much here in PA but the temperature sure feels like winter. It's a nasty 35 degrees

and I walked our dogs their daily walk earlier for about 20 minutes. Temperatures

here are supposed to get a little better each day into the weekend and in the 50's

by Sunday, yeah!

@Spurt

Such a stupid state to live in the winter Smiley Sad

If I had the disposable income, I'd have a

winter home in Michigan.  Wait, and then come

back to Texas for the summers??? Smiley Surprised  I'm not

thinking straight.  I'd move to Michigan permanently.
