Don't have to work today!  University is closed.  Lots of snow (so far)  It's past my ankles. Had to add some boxes to the recyling.  It'll be a while before they come.  A few across the streeet are already shoveling.  The forecast is still showing 8" to 12"    Still snowing steady.  Will be heavy at times later.  Wont' stop till tonight. Heavier snow this evening. LOL  Probably no mail today.

@songbird  Stay warm and safe.  What state are you located in?   New Jersey, where I live, will get this storm today starting soon.  Southern NJ will get the brunt of the storm, but central, where I'm at will get 1-3 inches, thankfully!

@ciao_bella  I'm in Maryland.  Just a steady snow.  There will be bands of heavy snow coming around 10:00 AM   Streets are covered of course.  Very quiet here.  No traffic. They are advising people to stay home and off the streets.  My only worry is the wind.  Going to be strong starting tomorrow.

I'm in east central Pa. and it just started snowing here a bit ago.We're to get a coating to 2 inches. Ground is pretty much bare, but sidewalks and roads covered.

I have a snow day as well as the school district I work in is closed.  Today was supposed to be the first day back after holiday break.   I live in Northern Delaware where we are supposed to get 3-6 inches maybe more as we are on the edge of where they are predicting 6-12 inches.

North Central Kentucky

We have about 10 inches of snow and a bit of ice. Snowing again now. Schools and most businesses closed, including government offices and no garbage pickup. Frigid temperatures all week so it's not going to melt. Thankful to still have power but worried about winds bringing down branches of my neighbor's tree on our power line.
Hope Everyone stays safe and warm!

@songbird,

I lived in Lewes, Delaware, for 5 years.  We had very little snow, and when it did, our world slowed down.

I've been watching the storm on Facebook and have been in contact with some friends in that area.

Be careful!

Hello all...here on MD's eastern shore we have about 7 inches so far and it's still snowing.  I made it into work.  My husband parked my car at the end of the driveway last night.  I only live 4 miles from work, but it took me 20 minutes to get here.  I live on back roads so plowing is last...yes I have 4WD.  It was an interesting ride!  I will be stuck here until 5 then I'm outta here.
