I myself have a fear of snakes, but still wish them no harm. I feel very sad about these poor exotic creatures, and the mice.

Snakes are not meant to be pets....one of my nephews has a big pet snake...it freaks me out...I don't get the appeal to have them for pets.....I'm terrified of snakes.

Snakes are my biggest heebe-jeebe! Grew up with tons of rattlesnakes and bullsnakes....but I never got close enough to tell the difference (poisonous vs non)! They're like a loaded gun that slithers. Respect them for being one of God's making, but ooof!

Wasn't there a report where a guy had a dead snake in a jar (that what been dead for 100 yrs/so) and the fangs nicked one of his fingers & poison set in? It lasted that long. Is that a Snopes story or wives-tale?

I have a terrible fear of snakes, goes back to my elementry school days when the boys used to go into the woods that surrounded the school and throw snakes at us girls! UGH shudder. However I do not want to see any harm come to them. I find it heartbreaking when people hoard any kind of animals. You want to hoard garbage? Fine by me. But leave all the precious animals alone (including *gulp* smakes).

Having snakes doesn't bother me, but he had too many, and they were not well cared for, abused. It would be horrifying to know your child was one of his students as he is not mentally well.

Yes, it would freak me out and if I couldn't get rid of him, I'd move.
