Maybe they think the same about us.  It seems to me that humans are the biggest threat to the planet.

@LindaSal - I don't know where up north you live, but when I lived up north we had snakes as well.

We have plenty of lizards where we are and they don't bother anybody. They eat plenty of bugs which is fine with me.

Our Condo neighborhood is bordered by some fields and a green belt so we get lots of critters (deer, raccoons, possums, coyotes, hawks,)....I did see a Rat Snake once and we do get field mice near our homes, so I guess that's what the snake was looking for..........🐍

We have lots of gecko lizards around here....and I think they are kinda cute, glad they are here and take care of the bugs.... 🦎

@riley1  I live in New England and of course we have some snakes but not as many as they do in the south, that's for sure.   I've never had to deal with one in my house or on my porch.  Yikes!
