Smoke haze over California (and elsewhere)

If you're in northern California, perhaps even southern Oregon, your skies are likely filled with a golden haze from the horrible fires.

It's been eerie for days now.

The sun was just this color this morning (although the sky was more yellow than gray).

I hope everyone is in a safe space.

My friend lives just outside of Hornbrook, little town that burned down. She has to mask up to walk her dogs.

Hazy here too fires everywhere,so smoke comes in all directions.

I'm in Colorado and that smoke rises up to where we are. It's been hazy here for days. In fact, some parts of western Colorado have issued air quality warnings.

Bit off topic, but a week or so ago, a host mentioned the fires in Calif. and how nice the organ cream would be on your skin,,,,while making a presentation.  Maybe this has been brought up already, sorry if I'm rehashing this.

Hey Spammie!!  Where ya been?   Nice seeing you.  Smiley Happy

As for the fires - *sigh* every year, this is so tragic.  The loss of trees and hazard to animals, humans, and buildings, breaks my heart.

Here in N NV it's been hazy for a while now what with the Yosemite fire and other ones going on.   For somebody like me, with asthma and other upper respiratory challenges, I cannot spend much time outside at all.  I bring water and food for the little birdies, pick up puppy potties, and that's about it, and I'm back inside in a flash.

Oh @misspammie you had me going for a minute. I was wondering exactly what organ the cream was made from!  Best typo I've seen in a while lol.

I'm in LV and we've got the haze and smoke here according to our weather report.  I live about a couple thousand feet higher than the strip and today I'm not noticing it at my house although yesterday it was pretty hazy here, too.

Re: Smoke haze over California (and elsewhere)

Here in Utah not to mention the smoke of our own 5 fires burning, we are getting smoke from  California's fires. Every morning and evening the sun is bright  orange. If we didn't know why it would be scary.

Today they issued a warning  for anyone with any breathing problems to stay inside.  Until we get a rain storm or a nice wind it's not going away.

Re: Smoke haze over California (and elsewhere)

@GingerPeach  I noticed that as the sun was setting last night.  It was a dark red with a hint of pink.  It was very eerie.  That was the first glimpse of sun in a while, during the day it's hidden behind the haze.

I hope you are safe too.
