I loved his music and the Family Stone.  We did not have a kindergarten class in my school district back in the '60's, but my 1st grade year ended in May 1969.

Hot Fun In the Summer Time came out during that summer and I just sang and sang that song, even when it was not playing on our AM radio.   Rest Mr. Stone

@SloopJohnB ...and as your name suggests, you are probably really hit by today's loss of the great Brian Wilson.

Paul McCartney turns 83 a week from today.  When he and Ringo go the lights will go out for this Boomer.

God did we have THE music.

@781Florist   Yes, indeed.  I have been to so many of their concerts through the years I have lost count.  I have also been to the secondary configurations of them due to the family riff.  Where Mike Love would have his group and Brian would have Al Jardine and his group.  Then of course there were the years Brian didn't go on tour at all.  End of an era.

And you are right.....nothing like the music of the 60's and 70's.....and I don't mean our ages.  LOL

I would give everything I own just to have you back again.......David Gates of Bread
