Sly Stone of Sly and the Family Stone has passed from COPD and other underlying conditions.Remember "Everybody is a Star", "Hot Fun in the Summertime", "Dance to the Music" and more. Takes me back to my partying days. RIP, Sly.

He was notorious for not showing up for his concerts or showing up so late that the crowd got very angry. He was usually so stoned or drunk that it would make him do that.

Rest in Peace Mr. Stone. His music brings back such happy memories of my youth and dancing like crazy with my bestie. No one makes that kind of music anymore, although Prince was very good at bringing some of that feeling back. I miss great dance music.
