Re: Slow Shipping from Amazon

I think there shipping has gotten faster.  I just got an order in three days and I do not pay for Prime.

Sometimes it's ultra slow. Other times I get it very quickly. It's frustrating when something takes a long time. I do think the shipping used to be better.

Re: Slow Shipping from Amazon

It's slower for me.  Slower than it used to be before I got Amazon Prime.  While I do usually get my items by the estimated date, my estimated date is never within the 2 day period Amazon Prime claims to be.  Also, I ordered several items at one time but they got split into two different shipments, one of which I never got.  Claimed there was something wrong with the address.  Same address I have always used and same address the other half of the order that got to me was.  They did automatically refund my money, but I don't think I got refunded the points I used.

Re: Slow Shipping from Amazon

I’m seriously thinking about getting rid of Prime at this point.

Yep! For a few months now, Prime shipping to central Virginia is anything but Prime. What is supposed to be 1 or 2 days is turning into 4-5 days. Same thing with Chewy.com.

Me too, BonanzaJellyBean. Why pay for Prime shipping and still have to twiddle your thumbs waiting? I do not use any other Prime features like streaming, so paying the continuously rising Prime fee is no longer a good value for me.

Amazon prime member here.  I ordered two items on Saturday with 2 day free shipping.

One item is scheduled to arrive on Friday and the other on Thursday.  I don't mind, but wondered why it is so slow.  That is more than two days.  I order the same items ( dog treats) often and they are usually here in a day or two.

Amazon's warehouses work 24/7 even on weekends.  Often I receive Saturday's orders on Monday.

@Carmie- even though it's nothing you need urgently, that delivery is not what you agreed to when you purchased.  I would email Amazon and mention it.

Nah, I am not a complainer unless it is something important.  Amazon is a big company, but it's workers are real people have to hustle to get those items sent out.  If individual employees don't meet their quota, they will get fired. The job they do is a difficult one.

Getting my dog treats a couple of days later won't affect my life in any way. We won't run out of them.  Besides, it's too much bother to be nit picky.

I just ordered an Ott Lamp and it took only 3 days for it to arrive via UPS. I rarely wait more than 3 or 4 days for an order from Amazon.

Expect slower than usual delivery to the Mid-Atlantic for anything shipping from Amazon's Baltimore warehouse. It was damaged by a storm and shipping will be impacted...

Re: Slow Shipping from Amazon

If the item is coming from an Amazon warehouse, it will arrive quickly.   However, if it's a "Marketplace" item, it will take longer, especially if it's coming from overseas.
