I don't frustrate easily but the slow response between clicks on these forums have me not posting as much.  It just takes too long and makes for too much sitting and waiting.

I am using the recommended browsers.  I find that Google works a little faster than Google Chrome.

It is definitely affecting my desire to post as much. I have counted as many as 30+ seconds just to get on a topic. I do not have this problem with any other website. Sad to say, at this rate, I don't think the forums will last much longer. I notice more and more posters missing and am wondering if that is why they aren't posting??

@jubilant   I understand your impatience, but think loss of posters may be due to other issues/content. Many aren't interested now in beauty, not purchasing fashion and tired of reading COVID threads.

@jubilant Forum functionality has always been and most likely will always be a mixed bag. Whether they like hearing it or not, QVC does not ever seem to have prioritized a top-notch web experience. Added to that, as @Shanus mentioned, there are a lot of folks who are fed up with the endless virus threads and so are simply not checking in as much. And also (and again, whether they want to hear it or not), it would appear a fair number of posters have opted out due to restrictions on what are permitted discussions and due to issues related to moderation and to uneven moderation...

@jubilant, I get the same issues.  Sometimes I can't get on for hours.  Sometimes I'll see that I have notifications but when I click on it, it says I don't have any.  Click again and notifications pop up.

Content is something I can't control and I'm realizing more and more how extreme and bullish people can be on here.  The best I can do is control my curiosity as to what certain posters will say about certain topics by not reading them.

@Shanus  @stevieb    I agree with you both.  I tend to be more impatient with tech problems than with titles like Covid, snark, restrictions, etc. Those are things I expect and can handle.  I do, however, hope that QVC, would want a smooth running machine, if they want to compete with other companies. I'm thinking they may be heading towards just reviews like Amazon and Wayfair and many more....if not most  these days.  I do think having the forums set them apart and was a good thing....maybe for me but not for them???  Who knows? I'm no business guru but it makes shopping here so much more personable for me.

@jubilant  I had that same problem last week, it was really slow to navigate around.  It could have been due to my wi-fi.  I usually don't use the wi-fi and am hooked up to the modem/router when on this site but figured it was probably time to run the cleaner and defrag my computer.

I did that (it took many hours to defrag), and now it runs perfectly.  It may not be related, but is your computer due for any updates or cleanup?

It can be frustrating.

I’ve experienced difficulty “hearting” posts and checking my notifications.

But...the thing that drives me really crazy is the length of time it takes to add photos to posts. I have a fast home network so it’s not me. It’s the poor tech system at the Q. Very, very, very slow. Sometimes, it times me out before the photo posts, and I have to start over. Grr.

Well, I think I've been here quite awhile and there always seems to be one computer issue or another. Maybe like CS, they're working with less people to be able to distance. I'm not sure what excuse they'd use before this.

@jubilant

I thought it was the recent Windows 10 update that created the wackiness, but then I accessed other websites without any issues and discovered its just QVC again....Its just something I come to expect and just workaround..... but it is frustrating....

I think QVC is more focused on improving  their QVC phone APP for orders and this Forum takes a backseat.....  But at least Im glad QVC still has the Forums so I try to look on the bright side and the fact, that I still get to converse with folks I enjoy chatting with....

As several have already mentioned the inactivity is due to the fact that people are just tired of all the virus and gloom and doom threads....And you have to watch who and what you talk about too...Some people are even responding to old threads that involve more interesting topics......
