I think married couples should sleep together, although I must admit that when I sleep alone I do get a better sleep. Possibly it has to do with the fact that I underestimated my bedroom and bought queen size bed. Big mistake, I need the king size.

You are absolutely correct!  People have a right to have whatever arrangements they wish and it's no one's business but their own.  I have the house to myself except for a particularly vicious rescue cat.  I'm firmly in the camp of separate houses, but that's just me.  When I moved here, I was the only single person in the neighborhood, and the little children asked me where my husband was.  I told them I keep him locked up in the basement.  God only knows that kind of conversations went on at their dinner tables.

@Ms X, Who said they couldn't?  Are you here to bait and cause trouble too?  What's wrong with you people?  Not happy today?

I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.  I'm not sure in what context you think my post was intended, but it was a response to chickenbutt's excellent post.  It was not meant as a slam at anyone in particular.  Did you think it referred to you in some way?

Yes you do.  You can chickenbutt!  Yes you know.  Please don't.

Really, @itiswhatitis, my post wasn't aimed at anyone.  I just like what chickenbutt said.  I haven't read the rest of the thread for hours, so if there was some kind of argument between the two of you I'm not commenting because of that.  If you insist on being offended, suit yourself, but my comment had nothing to do with you or anyone else on this thread.

Well that must mean @chickenbutt's post wasn't directed at anyone because you agreed with her.  I don't even know the context in which she made her comment in.

No one is trying others how to live or do what they don't want in this thread.  I'm confused as to why it was even mentioned by the poster and why YOU agreed with a non issue in the thread.  In my short time here, I've heard of baiting.  Not sure why it's done, but I don't want to participate.

@itiswhatitis.  This is my last post on this.  I can't tell you what chickenbutt meant, but I say this kind of thing all the time, so THAT'S WHY I POSTED WHAT I DID.  People have a right to live their lives as they please as long as they're not being dishonest or hurting others, especially children.  I had no idea there would be this kind of controversy.

@Ms X, then why would you agree with something you don't understand.

I'm done with this too.  I felt this would take a bad turn, so I spoke on it.  DONE.

@itiswhatitis  I understood chickenbutt's post.  What I don't understand are your accusations.  You really have some nerve.

Re: Sleeping Alone

[ Edited ]

They are finding out more and more just how important sleep is to your health.  I think whatever you have to do to get your required amount is important.  If snuggling up promotes good sleep for you....go for it. If your own bedroom works best.... go for that!  Do whatever it takes to promote healthy living and maybe you'll be around a little longer for each other!

Well, that went sideways.  ha!   Thanks for understanding what I said, MsX.  One thing about me - when I say something, I mean exactly that - nothing else, nothing different, nothing underhanded or shady.

Look, although I think I was pretty concise, to further elaborate on what I had stated this morning -

I noticed some people saying that they think that all married people SHOULD sleep together.

I said that nobody should dictate what they think everybody else should be doing, but do what is right for them.

I just don't get the attitude that some people should decide what everybody else should be doing in the privacy of their own homes.

There is a definite attitude of some that if others have different ways, that they are wrong.   They aren't.  There is no right or wrong, nor is there an established 'what everybody should be doing'.  k?  Smiley Happy

No harm, no foul.
