Sleep on it….i would rather not

Months ago I saw so many " stories " aka ads for silk pillowcase benefits.  In the last few days they have started up again on many different websites.

Decided to try them.  First ordering becomes more complicated and " timed " before the benefit can be thought through. Easy step leads to yet another timed offer ( 2 minutes or less ) and this continues.

Red Flag: they do not show you your order to edit if there's a mistake ( my order had things I did not order ) or to actually place.

Called their number but with time zones, office hadn't opened yet.  Received a call from a call center....they didn't have the order in front of them.  I just cancelled the whole order.

Meanwhile I had sent a detailed email to support and while I was talking to the call center person found they had sent several emails, each cancelling one line of the multi line order.

The first red flag I mentally questioned the math but continued on thinking it would be resolved on the final order tally was their lead in special of the day.  55% off 3 and one free with free shipping.  Very misleading: each was charged so there really wasn't one free.

So, buyer beware.  If this saves a poster some time, effort, money, it was worth the aggravation.  I am going back to the website where this " offer " appeared and let them

@jlkz. I wouldn't waste any more time on what is obviously a scam. Contact your CC company and have them cancel the transaction.

@Kachina624

They had already done a line item by line item cancellation and notified me in an email for each line item.

This was all done before I posted.

Whenever I see a countdown clock from now on, I will just delete whatever I thought I needed or wanted.

I wouldn't trust the E-mail.  If they got your CC information, I would certainly check and keep close tabs on that CC.

@Icegoddess. I was thinking the same thing. I've never experienced that sort of arrangement when placing any order. Sounds like a boiler room operation.

@jlkz @That countdown clock just screams scam to me. I'd keep an eye on whichever account you used to place the order. Even though you cancelled that order, they still have your account number.

Don't watch that credit card account, cancel it & have a new card sent, ask if overnight shipping is available...my bank overnights a card for free.

@shoesnbags @Icegoddess

I go over my credit card with a fine tooth comb and match every charge to a receipt, credit due, or invoice.

Not getting an opportunity to correct an item as well as approve the final charges is another major red flag for me.

Did you see these ads on social media?  That what it sounds like, especially when you see similar frequently.   If that's the case, many of those ads are scams or very low quality items.

You don't have to cancel the card @jlkz  - just lock it temporarily.
