Mine's been saying he can't rollover because of his appendix ! He has excuse for everything !  He's been saying that for 48 yrs. The other bedroom  mattress wasn't as comfortable as the master, ok, we bought another 650 mattress, now, it sits to high and hurts his hip to get up on it, I called the mattress place and had a new lower box springs bought out and paid the 110 for it myself.

Nope, he won't go in there except when he takes a sleeping pill on tues and Sat then he goes in there.   I can't win. Gave up !

@SharkE    Isn't there a minor surgical procedure that will help with snoring?  A sleep study is the first thing doctors mention when snoring comes up, to check for sleep apnea.  The snorer stops breathing which is hard on the heart.  Can shorten lifespan.

It really sounds like he should be checked out, @SharkE.

I agree with @tansy

I have obstructive sleep apnea or OSA.  It was discovered when I was in the hospital a couple of years ago for an extended stay.  I had to do an at home overnight sleep study test and then go to an overnight sleep lab at Emory University Hospital.  I stopped breathing something like 50+ times an hour. EXTREMELY BAD for you, your body, all your organs, etc.  Now I sleep with a bi-pap machine (a little different than a c-pap machine).  It has really helped with my fatigue which was off the charts.  Your husband should really go to a sleep specialist and be checked out.  Snoring of any kind is not a good thing and you don't realize the amount of detriment you are doing to yourself not getting deep restful sleep.

And to answer your original question, I just bought a Sleep Number C4 360 Smart Bed with a FlexFit base (raises your head only) like 3 weeks ago. It has SleepIQ Technology.  The bed tracks my sleeping habits every night.  It tells you how many hours of restful or restless sleep you get and takes your biometrics (breaths/heartbeat) and gives you a SleepIQ Score.  This is all done through an app on your phone.  It does have the snoring feature that raises your partners head (I live alone so I don't use this feature!).  This is my second Sleep Number bed.  My first one was bought years ago and has none of this technology.  I didn't really buy the new bed for the technology I bought it because of the ability to adjust the firmness of the mattress up or down since my comfort level changes througout the year and I was very happy with my first Sleep Number.  All the technology is a bonus!  And its really nice to be able to raise yourself up in bed to read, watch TV, surf on your phone, etc. at the touch of a button.

I've had a sleep number over 25 years.  It's so old we don't have numbers!  Two separate bladders and a hand held button.  Pump until it's firm enough.  Ahhhh.  Stop.  Done.  I don't need a number for that.  As far as the snoring

he does, I'm still shaking the bed.  He had his adenoids out.  They grew back!!!Smiley Happy

I know he has a hiatal hernia in throat.  When he snores his stomach does something strange like jerks LOL  Something not right. I just escape to 2nd bedroom and let the King have the master and master bath.

That jerk is probably the reaction of his body for not getting enough oxygen.

People who sleep like that are prone to heart attacks and strokes.  I have sleep apnea and my doctor told me I could very well be one of those people who die in their sleep and nobody knows why.  They find you dead because you don't get oxygen and your organs shut down.  A cpap machine with the full mask would quite his snoring.

that's what I wonder

I read online "can help with mild snoring' this is not mild snoring. I've taped him on tape recorder and played it back for sister she said she'd never heard that kind of snoring before. LOL

He probably wouldn't pay for it anyway. I'll probably just have to keep going to 2nd bedroom and walk around the baseball card table and junk that is HIS room.  I'm just the help , you know.

Has he ever been checked for sleep apnea?  My DH was a heavy snorer and he was diagonsed with sleep apnea. Now has to use a c-pap.

@SharkE This sounds like our "Sleep Number" bed. I think it was one of the first ones they sold on QVC. Prior to getting it, I used to wake up with a very sore back. After we got our sleep number bed and I determined the right inflation level, my backaches went away. However, it didn't do a thing for DH's snoring. His wasn't the soft snoring that might wake you up at night. We could hear him snoring all through the house and it sometimes sounded like he was choking. He had a sleep study done where he stopped breathing over 45 times in a few hours. They determined he had severe sleep apnea and he's been using a CPAP machine ever since. It's worked wonders, starting almost immediately.

We love ours! It's great especially with the adjustment to your preference of soft to firm  or anywehre in between. I find when I twist my back then I just change my sleep number a bit. It stands up to 2 GSD's jumping on the bed to snooze for a while. Great quality. I don't think it can do anything about snoring. We also are fans of the "My Pillow" and are happy with those as well. My husband still snores. I toss less so that's amazing. I'm a light sleeper but this is the "BEST" IMO
