Based on my own research/purchases/talking to those who work in the biz.....
I believe QVC/HSN had these shows and products planned some time ago and thought (like everyone else), that these "issues" would be fixed. Well, they are not, and won't be (IMHO) for a very long, long time. Perhaps this will change where items are made; perhaps not. But selling them while not in stock (Back ordered) is kinda the norm now. Don't like it and is why I'm not ordering much online UNLESS it states "in stock" ; non of the shopping channels show this so....they're not getting my money right now.
PLENTY of other places to shop and PLENTY of other places DO have the items on the shelves/in their warehouse. This tells me poor planning on the part of those that don't. I've had no issues with shipping times either.
I personally don't believe that the shopping channels are up front with their customer regarding MANY things including the availability of items offered. How that is going to work for them awaits to be seen.

Candles would be totally melted if shipped in this heat. I never order them in summer.

They even made a national announcement on the news yesterday to start ordering for Christmas NOW due to all the delays in manufacturing, shipping, and even delays in delivery due to inadequate staffing (USPS, UPS, Fed Ex, and Amazon)
But delays for Homeworx Candles may be a blessing in disguise, due to hot weather all across the country Harry Slatkin usually delays shipment of candles during the hot month of August to prevent melting of the candles.... I did order the fall set of 3 and requested priority shipping just to avoid the melting of the candles in our 90 degree weather....and I had no problems, it was quickly shipped and received and the candles were perfect....

I usually don't mind the wait but then I saw all these reviews posted while my order remained in process for awhile. I just wanted to make sure I was still getting it and it wasn't backorderd.
Maybe on the shows the hosts should be more up front about the shipping situation and then people would be less upset when it takes awhile. I never receive emails about delays, even though I am told I was sent an email, so that can be really frustrating.

I like it when the host and vendor lay it out there and explain which items won't be shipped out until a later date (sometimes the delay is a couple of weeks, sometimes a couple of months)....What I get frustrated about is when nothing is said and then when you check "Order Status" it SUDDENLY became an ADVANCE ORDER item without any warning....I ended up canceling a couple orders because I would receive them just too late....who wants Halloween items when its time to start decorating for Thanskgiving and/or Christmas....

I just got an email from Slatkin's customer service, and they said they just shipped one of my candle orders. I have several more, but it is nice that at least one of them is on its way to me!

Companies all over the place are having a hard time getting shipments of anything. It's crazy how difficult things are right now. Check out the inventory on new vehicles, there is barely any, with a wait list of at least 3-4 months! THOUSANDS of Ford automobiles are just waiting for chips to arrive so they can be to be installed. There are problems absolutely everywhere.

@LOLLI ~ I put in an order for Slatkin candles (free shipping 🙆🏻♀️) on 8/17, with an expected delivery date of 9/17. This is for the Autumn Pumpkin Patch, set of two, 18oz candles.

Just this week, I have had 3 IN STOCK orders cancelled. Two from Amz and one from Wally.
All items were shown as in stock when I placed the order.
I did eventually get emails that due to unforeseen circumstances, they were unable to fulfill my orders.
It is not just QVC.

@RespectLife I have had three items to switch to "back order" during the past week. All three were showing in stock, available, when I ordered them. Next, the items switched to "in process". Next, they switched to "back order". I decided to cancel all three. When I checked the back ordered item right after I canceled it, it is still showing "available". Go figure.
