I remember the first time I heard some say "cool beans".  I was like, "What?"  Sometimes though I will say "cool beanies" instead.

I do still say "cool".  My husband says "swell" when he's being sarcastic or just goofy.

And I can't stand words that are shortened, such as mani/pedi and poo/cond. Or things like IDK, U, R, RU, etc.  It's bad enough in text messages but really lazy in posts.

I like to drag out the old chestnuts. Everyone I know knows that and expects the Odd word from me.  I use cool all the time but not as an exclaimation, more like an okay.  Once in a while I'll even use "I'm Hip". 

I never Say Groovy but I really seem to dig the songs it's used in.

I like when the Brits say "sort"
I do not like the use of "sick" as a compliment.
I cuss too much, but it usually does capture my meaning.

You might be responding to the wrong generation ... there have been a few since the boomers, not just millennials.
