Yesterday I saw one of those vehicles that paints white lines on the road. It had two electronic signs on the back, one saying that it was painting lines, and another that said, "Do not drive on skips".
I've never heard that expression before. What are skips? I asked a couple of work colleagues and they had no idea either. I googled it, and can't find anything.
Has anyone ever heard of skips, in relation to white lines painted on the road?
