I have to question my sanity re: why I watch this show. Meri and Mariah are crying in every episode and why it's such a BIG DEAL that Mariah is going off to college is beyond me. Yes she is Meri's only child but Mariah seems very immature for her age. One of the other sister wives has a daughter who also is going to college but it isn't such a big deal. Tonight's episode was about the 3 yr old ( Truley ) who was deathly sick and had kidney failure and was in the hospital for many days. I hope no future episodes deal with Mariah or maybe I'll wise up and stop watching.

The only one I watched a bit of last night was the Mother's Day episode. All of the mothers-in-law started crying when they sat around talking w/ the sister wives. Good grief. You could see where all the tears come from now. I credit the mothers-in-law for abiding by their religious beliefs; however, I don't think that God intended for these women to be so miserable while doing it. Something's amiss.

I happen to like the show and think the ladies are very nice.
Christine is your typical earth mother and seems to care for everyone. She took care of everybody when they lived in Utah. I have no idea why the show wanted them to move to LasVegas. It's obvious the kids like it better in Utah, as you can tell from Mariah's choice of college which is in Utah. I do feel sorry for the kids.
Yes Meri cries a lot and Robin does show tears; they are softies and nothing wrong with that. I think Meri still has guilt that she cannot or did not be able to conceive another child. It is hard for her to have Mariah go off; as the other mommies still have a lot of their children home.
Glad little Truly is way better; thank god. it brought tears to my eyes.
Don't know what it is but Kody is definitely looks very haggard and sloppy looking lately. I certainly don't watch the show for him.
I always thought that Las Vegas was warm; I wonder why the ladies always seem to be bundled up.
You might not agree with their lifestyle but they are definitely bringing up their children the right way.

Of course Kody looks worn out--he has four wives and 17 children. Who wouldn't look exhausted!?
The wives cover up due to religious beliefs and modesty. No matter the weather, they are always in 3/4 or full length sleeves and their decollete is always covered.

The wives go on a mini-vacation (last week) and leave Kody to take care of the kids. He also has teens who are helping out.
Truely is not feeling well. She is lethargic. She is 3 years old. Nobody seems to notice that she is just lying around, not speaking. Kody "thinks" she has the flu. By the time the wives come home a week later, her mom Christine notices that she is crossing her eyes and mentions it to one of the teens who says "yeah, she's been doing that all morning". Well, DUH.....
These people don't know squat about symptoms and signs of illness??? Well, she had no fever, so I guess that's a plus. Finally, they take her to the doctor and he tells them to "run not walk" to the ER and that this is very serious. Oh, and Robyn said that if he said it, it must be so, because he's a "good doctor"... Well, I would hope so. LOL
Anyway, turns out that she was in kidney failure and had to be put on dialysis. Thankfully, she recovered and was home after 10 days.
OTOH, poor Mariah had to go away to college the morning after her "going-away" party. Nevermind that her little sister was at death's door. When Meri suggested that Kody stay at the hospital and not accompany her and Mariah to Utah, Kody agreed. Mariah said "I understand"..... She is so spoiled. She never once asked about her little sister.
I used to like these people but after last night, I am so disappointed. That child was so dehydrated that she went into kidney failure. Why didn't someone notice that something was wrong? Even when mom got home, she didn't seem to think there was a problem, even though her eyes were crossed???? Oh well........ Okay - my rant is over....
