Janelle's mom is married to Cody's dad...or was until he passed last year lolakimono.

I read that Meri and Janelle haven't got along since they first became sister wives yet they were best friends before that.

Jannelle and Meri really butted heads after Janelle married Cody. Meri was used to running the household her way and did not take Janelle into consideration. I read their book.
