Sinus Question Please

Hello to all! I have been taking Fexofenadine 60mg for 6 years and it does nothing for me. My ENT doctor put me on Xyzal and I purchased the generic Levocetirizine 5mg tablet and took my first one today about 2 hours ago and I still have a running nose........how long does it take to take effect? My pharmacy told me Xyzal is the only sinus medicne on the market today for prescription that all other sinus meds are over the counter now. Is this true? FOR THOSE THAT WANT TO SHARE PLEASE SHARE WHAT IS WORKING FOR YOU. I am going to have allergy testing in May and the doctor said he could tell me what I am allergic to and then I would be taking shots one time per week. I don't want to get on shots.........I am traveling to much to see my friends and boyfriends. I can't stay home 10 weeks and get shots each week. After that they told me I could give them to myself.that is over two months without doing anything with my boyfriend and friends.
