My ENT does not know this but I am asking because maybe someone else here is going through this........I can breath fine all day long and around 4 I get a stuffy nose..........I have been tested for mold, dust mites, dust, oak, etc and I am not allergic to anything.......do you have this happen to you? if so what do you do or what does your doctor think it is? Mine has no clue. They have not tested me for food though but all I have had today is apples and hot cocoa.

I get a stuffy nose around that time also. I consider it a mild nuisance and have never even mentioned it to my doc. Not a biggie, to me anyway.

My sinuses are their loosest in the afternoon....I wake up stuffed up most mornings....it's really bad in allergy season which seems to be all year round for me the last couple of years.

I have this about every single evening during the summer months. I attribute it to sinus pressure due to cooler/moist air moving in from the ocean over the dry hot/desert air. I take advil....and wine.

Milk and sugar aggravate sinus issues...

I would suggest being tested for food allergies. I am allergic to corn, wheat, potatoes, tomatoes, citrus, milk, and egg whites, and suffer with gastric issues if I eat any of the offenders. However, food allergies can result in other minor symptoms such as stuffy nose, etc., and it would be worth looking into, since this seems to be a recurring problem.

It would probably be a good idea to skip the hot cocoa for a week or so and see if it helps you. (Like Nunya posted, milk may be an issue for you)

Ok, I am apologizing in advance here, lol. I know you did not ask for advice on your food choices, but you are having a lot of sugar grams with those choices. Have you thought of having more protein? When I have too much sugar (even natural sugar from fruit) it does not satisfy my hunger long-term. I am hungry a short time later. Plus too much sugar causes the sugar high which is only temporary, with the plunge before too long.

One large apple (depending on variety) is about 23 grams sugar.

Use the drop down menu at nutrition data to see the different measures of apple:
