Re: Sinead Oconnor has a new album and a new look

I thought she was edgy and unique when she first came on the scene, not so much now.

I saw her in an interview recently. Without the edgy wig and tons of makeup she is your average woman, aging badly actually.

Yes, I think her 5exual abuse had more to do with her covering up her looks. That is quite common as I understand it.

As for what she did on SNL by ripping up the Popes picture. I am way more offended by how the church and the Pope handled the molestation of millions of children across the world by priests. What she did is absolutely nothing in comparison. Ireland of course being especially hard hit.

I think she looks great. She is very talented.

I agree. She was also placed in a Magdalene laundry...You only have to Google those to know what they are like. The film Philomena was about those.

I never liked Sinead in the 90s, but now that I am older and understand her life more, I like her. I appreciate her music especially the early stuff.

She sang the most beautiful rendition of Silent Night that I've ever heard.

Oh my goodness. I totally agree with you. I cried when I heard that.

That was 30 years ago. I don't expect many artists to retain "edgy" after 3 decades.
