Re: Simple Remembrances of ECBG

@San Antonio Gal  I felt that even tho I'm relatively new to the forum, I had a sense of knowing Cathy thru the many pictures she shared , and her conversations with so many in the threads. You're right you could clearly see how much she enjoyed her position as the "city's stylist "as she put it☺️. Reading thru the condolences on her obituary page has been heartwarming to see how many lives she touched during her time here..

Re: Simple Remembrances of ECBG

My heart is heavy as I type this, because it has been such an emotional day, but I am SO comforted after having read the many BEAUTIFUL❤️ posts paying homage to our dear ECBG that were shared today! I have reread them several times, and each time was overcome with emotion! It has been a joyful but sometimes somber experience today. To see just how much much she meant to MANY of us is truly heartwarming!💝 My heart is filled with MUCH gratitude for just having been blessed to know someone as  kind, sweet, passionate, CLASSY and loving as she was!!😊

She was an AMAZING stylist, and ALWAYS offered tips to anyone who expressed an interest! She was like a Forum big sister to me because she offered heartfelt advice on a variety of issues and emotional support when I especially needed it!🥰

She and I shared an affinity for pendants, and she had some of the most unusual and beautiful ones made by various artisans that she knew!  I enjoyed the loving stories and memories of her dear family and friends that she would share without hesitation. She was SO very proud of them, and always spoke of her daughter-in-LOVE❤️ with great affection!😊 Not all mother-in-law, daughter-in-law relationships are as loving! Her beloved Shadow was NEVER far away!😄 I remember when he was just a "puppy".😊

My soul is smiling again, and I pray that she is reunited with her dear son!!!❤️🙏🙏 She is one of a kind, and will always have an indelible place in my heart!💝

Re: Simple Remembrances of ECBG

Dear ECBG comforted me when I was grieving for my dear mother, and I am eternally grateful for her caring, and emotional support she extended to me then! I thought I would share the BEAUTIFUL poem she shared so graciously shared with me. The  words comforted my soul!🥰

ECBG.

I'm so saddened by this. ECBG was an OG, long time poster that was really well loved.

Although I didn't really participate in the outfit of the day forum or know her that well, the posts I read from her were always kind and positive.

She was a lovely lady that will be missed.

Re: Simple Remembrances of ECBG

Even tho my religion teaches us that this is only but one life and there is another one yet to move forward to -- this is sad because I felt she was reaching out to us in her last days on this earth.  I'm glad I was able to give her a kind word during that time.

Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself.
