Similarities Between Baby Boomers and Millenials

I read this article the other day and found it pretty interesting. I have great confidence in the millenial generation.

I agree @Desert Lily.  At times I feel my DD is so different when in reality she isn't.  We are alike, but achieve our same goals in a diffent manner.

Fate whispers to her, "You cannot withstand the storm." She whispers back, "I am the storm."

Love millenials, but the way they speak drives me insane.  It's like really annoying and like an assault on the ears. I come in contact with the M's in the workplace and have had to address some of their speech habits.  Habits are hard to break, but in the M's defense, they do make an effort to change.

Re: Similarities Between Baby Boomers and Millenials

I thought this article was a bit absurd - for instance they say that more & more boomers are renting instead of owning homes. But they don't discuss the reason for that change - for instance due to health issues maybe the boomers can no longer maintain a home. Being widowed and can't afford to keep a home on their much decreased income.  Just don't want to have to do the work to upkeep a home anymore so they move to a maintainance free situation. Alone and moving in with other family - I know a few cases where siblings who are both widowed will move in together to share expenses and not have to live alone, and , of course, moving in with their child's family.

Re: Similarities Between Baby Boomers and Millenials

The article said some Baby Boomers and Millenials may have roommates or rent, but it can be for different reasons. I think the article goes on to talk about how much time both spend on electronic devices and how they mentor each other on things like electronic devices and starting a career. The article also mentioned how both were sensitive to social issues (i.e. eating healthy/organic foods, how animals/pets are treated.) Of course nothing can be applied to everyone. I believe the other generations are Generation X and Generation Z (the youngest generation, not yet out of high school.)
