C'mon Santa! Take Elon's lead. Come to your place of work, or You're Fired. Pretty simple! Lots of enterprising Reindeer out there, that probably want to come to work for ya!

Do they also demand a 4-day workweek plus a bonus for showing up to work??

Thank you, Kachina624, for my morning chuckle!

Re: Sign of the Times

[ Edited ]

This reminds me of a NYT article the other day: "What Comes Next For the Most Empty Downtown in America?" It's referring to San Francisco, where office occupancy is 40% of what it was pre-pandemic.  The city's workforce was primarily tech workers, who are better suited than most to remote working.

@ValuSkr

All I know about San Fran is what I see and hear on the news. Many sit down office computer jobs can be done via technologies. I don't view them as only Tech jobs.

For me it is clear to see advantages and disadvantages of at home work. Advantages are primarily on the worker side, and its business company. The disadvantages are for probably hundreds of other small businesses that depend on that revenue to survive.

Some of the videos I have seen of San Fran, are far from what I remember, when I visited that city. I know several guys that used to live there, and a few that still go there for business reasons. They say pretty much the same thing.

I am from the old school. If you want a  job, you should have to be present in your place of business, at least X number of hours per week.
