Show Me....did you read the Sunday Post?

They had a special section today in honor of the Komen walk. They chose several survivors to tell their stories. I just wondered if you might have seen it.

No CG......I don't get the newspaper..... Guess I could go look it up on internet. Are you involved in the Komen walk????

By the way, I doodle boxes when I'm waiting for a live voice in real life. I have been trying to figure out how to make a round box.....haven't succeeded at that one yet....but will eventually get it....... I also do tic-tac-toe instead of doodling.

I was one of the women featured. They had asked for contributions, but they never let me know that mine was chosen. They also never said when or how they might use the stories. Kind of cool to pick up the Sunday paper and find yourself in it. LOL!

I don't have anything to do with organizing the Komen walk, but my husband and I do walk each year. The first year, I was only one month off of chemotherapy and I practically had to drag myself across the finish line. People were cheering for me as I limped across that line. Now, four years out, I'll be sailing across the finish line. Smiley Happy

I think I found a picture of you......it is the one under participants.....you have a bright pink shirt on and a cross body strap over your body, and you are with another very cute African American young lady who is all smiles too, she has on a white shirt......Is that you????? Remember I have only seen one real picture of you some time ago on here.......

I'm so proud of you for participating in this......hard to believe you did it just one month off chemo......I would have been cheering for you too...... Good luck in this year's event.

Also wanted to mention to you......CVS down at Yorkshire is having their grand opening. I really want to get down there and have a look around. Will be interesting to see what they did down at that end of the mall.

Ok, thanks......I found you......thank goodness I knew your last name.....from previous e-mails about ball game tickets in e-mail.

That was a very touching testimony.......and once again I am so proud of you for having come so far since that first day of finding out.....and Good Luck in coming through the finish line.

My sis is a breast cancer survivor too. Think she still has a couple years to go with taking that one pill daily for 5 years.

Wink I knew you would be able to figure it out. Congrats to your sister! I take a pill each day, too. When I started, my oncologist recommended it for five years. Now, though, he ways additional research suggests taking it longer--seven years. I'm going to follow that recommendation because I want to have the best shot I can at not having a recurrance.
