Should women have to register for the draft?

I don't think so.  What do you think?

Yes, considering where our country might be in a year, women should definitely have to register.  If the draft has to be reinstated because of a major war, women may be needed.

If the men are required to, the women should as well.  Why should one s*x get special treatment?  Isn't that something we are trying to get away from?  Equality means equal responsibility as well as equal privilege.

Yes, if it comes to that, why should women be excluded.  Equality goes both ways.

No, They can join anytime they want to if they meet the qualifications.

Re: Should women have to register for the draft?

Yes.  Registering for the draft doesn't mean that women would necessarily serve in combat.  Women have always been supportive in times of war.  We've worked in hospitals, in ammunition factories and covered the jobs that men had before they left for war.  I don't see this really being any different.  Women can serve in many ways.  If we have to go to war and young men have to sacrifice their lives to protect our country, I don't see any reason why we should not do our part as well.

As long as it isn't combat duties I think it's fine if they changed selective service requirements.
