No, they should not be released. They are money hungry opportunists. I didn't buy their sexual abuse accusations then and I don't buy it now. They should stay in jail.

Their mother knew what their father was doing and did nothing to protect them. The father was a mentally ill pervert with an addiction. Their mother was worse, she cared more about her status then her children.
Killing both of them was justified.
The first trial that allowed the abuse to be entered ended in a hung jury with most jurors finding not guilty.
The second trial where it was disallowed produced a guilty verdict.
I believe they deserve to be released.

It wasn't justified because they were not in immediate danger. They were both adults. They could have easily left home. They were greedy and selfish. They wanted dad's money and the only way they could get it was by killing both parents so their mother wouldn't get a chance of controlling the inheritance.

JMO: They were 18 and 21 when they killed their parents. They were old enough to leave the house and live on their own. They were old enough to go to the police for other agency or family for help.
There are over 20,000 innocent people in prison trying just to get a new hearing with some forrm of new evidence that would exonerate them. Many have been in prison for decades. Some have had their convictions overturned but the prosecuters and attorney generals fight to keep them behind bars becasue they do not want to admit mistakes were made during their trials.
These are the people that should be released from prison. This is where the focus should be.

Considering what we now know about sxul abuse of children and how young they were when the committed those murders and time served, I do think it's time to release them. They would have been out many years ago if they'd been girls. They are not a risk to the public. But back then, people didn't believe such things happened to boys.

No way. Just because you were abused, doesn't mean you get a pass on murder. There were plenty of options, they chose poorly.

Yes, they should be released. The trauma of sexual and physical abuse changes a child. Their world is filled with distortion, identity issues, and physical pain.
The victims have comorbid mental health issues like depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, and PTSD.
The brothers had a long history of abuse starting when they were 6 years old. This long-term grooming and abuse could easily lead to violence.
There is enough evidence to support the abuse allegations.

OK, I'm going to say something I've not told a lot of people. My father molested my daughter when she was a little girl and she repressed it. She finally remembered when she was about 13. By that time my father had died. If he was still alive I would have done something very wrong. Nobody can judge anyone unless you have been through their pain.
