@beach-mom wrote:My opinion is - no.
After they shot their mother and she was still alive, they reloaded and went back to make sure she wasn't.
But I don't know, and I don't want to know, a lot about it.
The parents were wealthy. The "boys" wanted their money... di

I prioritize public safety and there is no way to predict that if these two murderers are released. I also respect the verdict of judges unless there was a mistrial, which was not the case. What these brothers did is unchangeable and there is no 100% assurance that they have changed. Their future behavior cannot be reliably predicted, and that uncertainty should not be on the backs of the public.

Absolutely not.
They're blood thirsty killers. Let them rot in hell where they belong. More murderers off the street.

At the time of this original trial, sexual abuse victims just weren't believed or their trauma taken into consideration. It was a different era.
I've lived in SoCal and watched the whole thing rather closely. You couldn't avoid it.
I think all the new evidence, and old evidence needs to be carefully scrutinized, re-evaluated ... and go from there. IMO, they probably should be released.
JMO, of course.

I tend to agree with @Tinkrbl44 and think they should be released.

Personally survived childhood abduction lived through unspeakable horror. In 1970's not enough was known on trauma or ptsd diagnoses. The experience caused mental illness though my life moved on suffered through decades of not knowing why or what was wrong with me. Ended up seeking therapy thankfully, right therapist diagnosed with ptsd therapy changed my life.
My point is not once did my mind consider hurting anyone instead hurt myself self medication and alcohol.
The brothers in my opinion by their own actions after bludgeoning their parents went on a spending spree.
Manipulative academy award performance the jury returned with the correct verdict. There's no way knowing if they'll harm or murder again. The public safety comes first.

Knowing now the situation and hearing some of the awful details - yes. Funny how the parents were viewed as such upstanding citizens - yet they were the true monsters that all nightmares are made of.

NO!!!! They murdered 2 people. They murdered their parents. End of story.

@wifey2qt @Tinkrbl44 - The stories about the abuse from the father are awful. They have been model citizens while in prison.
