Re: Should the Father be charged???

Of course he should be charged and it is amazing the time delay that he hasn't. Just another vigilante with a gun. Not for one moment do I believe that the father didn't know he was just a kid she was sleeping with. He was just so angry, he took it out on this young man.

Re: Should the Father be charged???

There is something hinky about a family where the younger son (ie younger than the 16 year old daughter) goes into his sister's bedroom at 2.30am to say goodnight.

Can't these people just yell like the Waltons did?

I thought that was strange too. Why would the younger brother go into his sister's bedroom in the middle of the night to say goodnight?

I think the 16 year old heard noises, knew what was happening, and wanted to bust his sister and her secret BF.

Re: Should the Father be charged???

yes, the father should be charged and the girl should be charged as an accessory to murder, as she lied knowingly which in turn caused the boy's death.

I am torn by this. Do we really know what went on when the dad went into the room?

Long time ago when we were deciding on our security system, the representative said, "If you woke up at 3am and my 16yr old son was standing over you, what would you do." My husband said I'd shoot him- you'd shoot my son? Yes, why would he be standing in our house at 3 in the morning? I mean it's a double edge sword.. what would be the better answer to the rep, hit him with a pillow or sheet?

omg, seriously? your son could be sleepwalking or perhaps he was going to wake you up for something else.

wow. I am sorry, but why on earth would your husband think the worst of your son?

The rep. was talking about if his son broke into our home and was standing at our bed!! Not my son, the rep's son.. Burglar, break in, get it now?

Re: Should the Father be charged???

I don't think it's "strange" that the little brother wanted to go in and wish his big sister, "Good-night".

Was Yuban, then changed to Plaid Pants due to forum upgrade, and apparently, I'm back to being Yuban.

Re: Should the Father be charged???

The father should not be charged, but the daughter should be charged with something, she contributed to that poor soul's death imho.
