I'm not understanding this. The daughter just said she didn't know him????
Was she screaming that she was being attacked when her father came in the room?
How did this happen?

Absolutely, unequivocally, NO!!
‎03-17-2014 10:40 AM
Well, didn't the dad recognize the boy as her boyfriend? What about the brother? Why didn't he speak up?

The story is 911 was called, then an argument ensued and the father is claiming he saw the boy reach for something and that's when he shot the boy.
Something about this story isn't adding up. Either it's just not very complete and detailed or something stinks here.

Well it's not adding up for me.
Dad comes in the room and sees the guy and daughter says she doesn't know him.
How do you have someone in your bed you don't know without going ballistic and screaming?
So is that what happened? If so, I would think the reporting would be more complete than just - she said she didn't know him - as if she calmly reported this in response to her dad's obviously furious questioning as to who he was.

The brother saw "feet" hanging out from under the bed.
If I was the father I would be totally skeptical about her not knowing him.. The girl had several opportunities to come clean to the father especially when she saw a weapon involved.
It would be interesting to know what 'ensued' did the boy say he was the boyfriend, invited in there etc..or what?
Supposedly he must of been hiding under the bed, as that is what the Brother saw and told the father, the feet hanging out.
If I was the parent - if it was an older man yeah I would believe the intruder story, a young good looking boy just happened to find our house, break into it, and hang out under the bed of my daughter's room..not so much!!
What did the daughter think was going to happen when guns were involved and denied knowing the kid? She holds a huge role of responsibility in this.

Morally, the daughter was wrong.
She didn't do anything criminal by denying she knew the boy.

Yes he should be charged with some sort of murder charges. You kill someone (unless its self defense) you should be charged!

On 3/17/2014 Yuban3 said:Yes, the father should be charged. So he found a boy in his daughter's room. That does NOT give him free reign to kill the kid.
He had other options, such as throwing the kid out.
I agree.
I have to assume the boy wasn't wearing much, if any, clothes at the time of the encounter...certainly not hiding a gun in his boxers (or less!).
But this is TX, it was inside the man's home...he will probably get off.
