Should girls be allowed to play HS football? Let's discuss!

I was just reading a story on Yahoo about a girl who plays for a private HS on the football team. It seems that she just sat out a game because the opposition team said they would rather forfit the game then play against her. It seems a lot of the other team's players could not deal with the idea of hitting a girl with a hard tackle.

What do you think? Would you encourage or discourage your daughter if she wanted to play football on her HS team?
