Should a 14 year old

convicted of murder be sentenced to life in prison without parole? I didn't realize the Supreme Court was deciding the constitutionality of this punishment- listening to it on Up w/Chris Hayes.

My viewpoint is no, kids don't understand the long-term consequences of their actions. Sticking a kid in prison for life isn't a punishment when they don't even understand the concept of freedom. I believe they should be punished, but not sure that life without parole means anything to a 14 year old.
