Re: Should We Go to Boston with the Hurricane Coming?

I just got home. Thank you everyone for you informative posts.

We are not going up, unless we find out tomorrow morning something has drastically changed. The hotel is giving us until 11 tomorrow morning to cancel.

I will keep those of you in the path of this storm in my prayers.  Be safe!

Thanks again for your help with this. I know I can always get good advice from my online friends!  Smiley Happy

@beach-mom Good idea to not go. I'm sure this is disappointing (for your daughter especially) so you may want to think of some fun things you can do instead. Just a thought.

@beach-mom  It's the smart thing to do.  Even If there Is a drastic change,  it may drastically change back in the blink of an eye.  Also think of where you have to go through to get where you're going.  It's gonna be a real mess.    Never trust the weather to do what you want.

I'm glad you decided to stay home.  Hopefully you and your daughter will find something else to do this weekend, maybe a movie.

Living in the Tampa area, we have learned that Mother Nature will do her own thing....we never know how she will proceed when she is out there.  We take precautions, get ready for her and then she changes her mind.

Every one be safe, good luck!!!!

If you were just guests then canceling would be reasonable, but since your daughter made a commitment to the bride, that commitment should be honored.

This morning the forecast has the storm hitting NY then moving inland. Boston should get the far eastern edge of the storm, wind and rain.

Wow!

NO commitment is worth risking your life over.

If they had gone, and something bad had happened to them, then you would sit in judgement condemning them for having gone.
