Re: Should We Go to Boston with the Hurricane Coming?

Henri did change from a hurricane to a tropical storm but it also packs a big wallop.  Extremely high winds and flooding are still occurring. We're still susceptible to power outages and possible tornadoes.

I sure hope the OP didn’t go. Hurricane Henri made landfall in Westerly, Rhode Island at 12:15 pm. I live in Suburb of nyc and we’re getting drenched.

Hello @Porcelain , it's been a sad few months. I had a big loss in the family and it affected me deeply, more than I realized. But everything is getting better.

Re: Should We Go to Boston with the Hurricane Coming?

[ Edited ]

It sounds like some here have never been through a hurricane or a tropical storm.  Maybe they don't live in an area of the country that experiences this so they have little

understanding how dangerous it can be.

Forecasts are much better than 10, 20 or 30 years ago as far as predicting where the eye of a storm will hit however they are still not able to predict as accurately the actual intensity of the storm.  That's why all types of events are usually cancelled.

It sure would have been nice if @beach-mom came back and let everyone know how things turned out, if the entire wedding was cancelled, if they got married but had no reception, etc.

If I was engaged and my wedding had to be called off three different times I'd seriously be thinking if someone or something was trying to tell me something.

Honestly at this point I think the posts are contrarian just for the sake of being that. Not the first time.

@Greeneyedlady21,

I was thinking the same thing!🙄
