Re: Should OP of a thread return & respond to posts?

 yes, depending on the thread.  If you are asking for help, yes.  If you are just stirring the pot, no.  LOL!

I can't imagine why not.

I don't think one must respond to every single reply individually, but if nothing else to thank the posters for their help/answers seems appropriate.

I definitely would at least express my gratitude.   I can't even imagine asking people to help me and never saying thank you, in the very least!

It's the 'hit & run' that is annoying.  They just start a thread asking for help, or asking a question, then never come back.     That seems rather rude to me.

Uh-huh, & pls. get your butt over to my Golden pup thread - CC forum.  ;-)

Depends, if the snark and nasty comments commence, it's time to walk away........

IG, I just love reading about Kingston.  To have more pictures and video of him would be great!  Have you ever considered writing an article or a book about him?  What a story that would be!!

@asoutherngirl

Good morning! I'm not sure that I'd make much of a writer, I tend to write like I speak, LOL!

My ultimate plan for Kingston is to continue his training to be a certified therapy dog, to visit children with burns and show them that they too can recover from such an awful experience in their lives, without letting it break their spirit or take away their goal for happiness and a bright future.

That their scars, like Kingston's, don't define them in any way, they're just superficial and don't make them any less beautiful on the inside, where it matters.

I would also hope to incorporate a sense of love and respect for all animals to young children and why abuse toward the innocent and defenseless should not be done nor tolerated.

Animals have proven to be great tools in working with kids with Asperger's, autism, etc., as well.

That's my plan, anyway!

I think it is nice to respond with a thank you, especially if you are asking for help. I know I am not on here all the time, sometimes I go months without logging back in but if I am busy and post a question and have to go to work it could be hours before I can log back in to respond.

Good morning IG.  What an amazing plan for Kingston!  The two of you really have a story to tell!  It makes me think of a Hallmark movie, it is so touching and inspiring.  There is so much here that could portray and teach the story of animal abuse, the power and redemption of love, the forgiveness of dogs, their ability to connect with those challenged by illness or accident...  Has your local TV station or psper been apprised of Kingston's story?

If you start a thread do you always return to reply to the comments?

I notice sometimes an OP asks a question or poses a problem but never comes back.

Just wondering btw, not judging or making rules lol.😉

@AuberriJean

Well, you don't know that the OP never comes back.   They may read the comments but not respond.

My first thought to the title of your post was why would anyone start a thread and never come back?   Doesn't make any sense, IMO.
