Kind of a funny thought maybe, but do you think posters and others often apologize to a host when they criticize and pile on one for something maybe a little silly upon further consideration? I see it among posters pretty often but not so much toward hosts.
Come to think of it I don't remember seeing that very often--have I missed something? Do you think hosts should be apologized to a little more often?
I know on some of my bad days I am hypercritical. . . and should make the effort to a lot of people.

absolutely.....especially if they really mean it.
why make nasty or rude statements in the first place?
i dont do that in real life so why should i do it on a forum?

Since hosts are not allowed to post here, many probably don't bother reading here either, so they wouldn't know it if someone apologized.
I have apologized to other posters when I misunderstood their post and had a knee-jerk reaction and said something uncalled for.
We are all human.

No, I think the hosts should apologize to us for being "unkind". When anyone puts him or herself on TV and becomes "personality" , he or she open him or herself to criticism. It goes with the territory

you would be surprised......yes, some hosts have said that they read here, have an assistant who reads here, and family members who read here and of course on their facebook and instagram pages.

Antonella herself posted on her FB that she read something on these forums.

I don't subscribe to the belief that just because a host or anyone else puts themself out there on tv that it should be open season on them. I believe that it's fair to criticize how they do their job but I don't believe they should be subjected to personal criticism. I think people are just looking for a justification for their meanness and rudeness.
There is a YouTuber that I follow regarding cruising and I also am a member of the FB group he started. A number of weeks ago he addressed some of the mean comments that he gets on his YT videos and it broke my heart. He gets horrible, mean comments about his weight and his wife's weight and the comments have nothing at all to do with the content of his videos. It's just miserable, unhappy people taking it out on him. I was near tears watching the video because there is no excuse for the comments and they hurt his feelings. He said he knows he should have a thicker skin and people have the thought that he's on YouTube and has to just take it but he's human and it does hurt.
Obviously everything isn't going to be sunshine and roses all the time but I don't think there is any justification for going at anyone over their appearance.
Some of the stuff I read on the hosts' social media pages makes me cringe.

I don't believe in criticizing a host for something personal such as their appearance, weight, etc, but when it comes to their jobs, yes, I believe in constructive criticism.
When they yell, use baby talk, use stupid slang just because it is trendy, brag about how small of a size they are, jump up and down, flail their arms, talk over each other, have bad manners when presenting food, then yes, I think we have every right to comment and criticize.
You don't get that in b & m stores, so why should we be subjected to it on a TV store.
