Should I go on a cruise solo?

I am a widow, and my original travel plans fell through. My cruising buddies all have other plans. I love cruising and am not afraid to travel alone. I am also willing to pay the single supplement, and have the cabin to myself. They can be so small!

I don't need a comapnion to lay on a lounge chair around the pool, and I have my blessed Kindle to read at meal times, so I am good there too.

What do you think??

It sounds like you are self-sufficient and ready to go.

I have have known single women who will not eat in a restaurant or go to a movie on their own.

You go girl! I have never gone on a cruise but I always travel solo 99% of the time. Can't beat it!

Go for it! A personal relaxtion cruise. No telling how many new people will come into your life by being alone. It could be a fabulous experience.

You'll probably have a very nice time, meeting new people, and possibly new friends! I always preferred a room to myself, even when traveling with friends. Let them have their all night talking, etc. while I'm getting a good night's sleep. Enjoy!

Everybody is different. Sounds like you are comfortable in going solo. I would never ever go by myself. I would go another time when my friend/friends could go with me. But that is just me.

I will go out to a restaurant by myself or a movie if I want to see it, but not on a cruise or vacation.
