I would say go for it.  My daughter likes to travel by herself but she gets irritated because single people have to pay more.  Because of the price she sometimes doesn't go.

Went to lunch with friends today. My girlfriend said on her last cruise they sat with a group of people. This group met each other on a cruise and have been "cruising" together ever since. My girlfriend had so much fun with this group that they planned two more cruises together. The other people are scattered over the country but a guy from Wisconsin keeps the group informed.

 

This was on a Disney cruise but people are happy and enjoying themselves on a cruise not matter what the name of the cruise line.

 

I think it is great you want to get out and about.

My friend does it all the time.  Always has great fun, and meets interesting people.  If you go, let us know 

about the cruise.
