Haven't seen or heard anything in the news.  My daughter has run into a couple of neighbors who heard it also.  I guess it will remain a mystery.  It was probably a "hunter" trying to kill a squirrel, there were so many shots.  But at 10 PM, that doesn't seem likely, as squirrels are not nocturnal.

If you live in the city, that is illegal.

 

One of my neighbors got in trouble for shooting a raccoon.
