Yet people have no hesitation to go to a restaurant instead of cooking at home so the restaurant staff can be with their families.
Movie theaters are open and need staffing so movie goers and staff are away from their families.
What about the three football games being played on Thanksgiving. Not only do the players have to be away from their families so do the officials, stadium staff, vendors, etc., and if you stay home and watch on TV what about the network staff that has to work instead of being home with family.
What about the hundreds of thousands of people that attend and service Thanksgiving Day parades in Arizona, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Texas. Shouldn't they be home with their families for Thanksgiving, as well as the parade participants.
Is all travel on Thanksgiving essential. What kind of services do Thanksgiving Day travelers need that will keep the providers away from their families to attend to the wants and needs of those traveling.
None of the foregoing are essential services yet many people that complain about a store being open have no problem with other activities that take people away from their families on Thanksgiving Day.
