Stretchy bras are great for almost all occasions and no need for trying on🙂
It's the grocery shopping that gets me down. I've noticed some shortages again and that worries me.
@Lali1, I went to a nearby nursery and brought home a few succulents. That was an outing that cheered me up!
Well I went to the nursery. Not much in the way of anything but especially succulents. I spent $30 which is unheard of for me at the nursery. I'm not a big spender but plants are something I like to treat myself with. I'm still betting Walmart has a better selection. I just wish they would open that entry to people only buying in that section. I did see lots of Etsy shops with succulents so I may order from one of them. I walked around outside in this stifling heat with my mask on and thought this is the pits and stupid when no one was around me.
Right now the grocery stores in western WA have succulents on display outside of the stores, @Lali1. 🤷🏼♀️ Maybe you could cruise by a few of your markets.

Posters are well within their rights to vent. The world has changed and we all want our old way back.
But that is not going to happen and once we mourn, we have to accept the new. Crummy as it is. Accepting it gives peace.

@Mominohio Sorry, sounds like one of those days which unfortunately for some of us are happening more & more. Take care,

So sorry for your frustration, @Mominohio , and hope things improve for you and your mom and family soon.
I definitely have my periods of being bummed-- was saying to hubby the other day, "there are so few things right now to look forward to, I have to reward myself". I was talking about taking drives and recreational shopping, and luckily, he agreed, ha! Caught him in a week moment!
Stopped ordering, and resumed in-person grocery shopping about 2 months ago, and was surprised that it was fine. Everybody masks, store is super clean, and I overheard a tactful manager addressing a woman who had not masked-- a covering was gotten for her, and that was that. Most items are back on our shelves, except for the odd anomaly. The one thing I find exhausting is the sanitizing of groceries and packaging, etc., once you get home. But at least it's only once a week.
I go to Kohl's, Big Lots, Marshall's, drugstore, maybe once weekly or once every two weeks. They provide loads of sanitizer for carts and hands, just like supermarket. Hubs and I have high risk factors, but as long as we wash hands frequently, social distance, don't touch face, and mask when around others, we feel OK.
We've had to shrug and be philosophical to some degree, since we have the "wild card" of our son living with us, and he comes and goes frequently, and is not always super careful (the invincibility of youth). So we just do what we can.
I'm trying to get pleasure out of studying up on my passions, like interior design and film. Whenever I despair, I try to think of this as a long, not-always-comfortable "sabbatical" I'm on, that will have an end date, and that is coming, if I just hang on.... Hang on, resourceful @Mominohio !

I can relate to many things you pointed out but I took a step back about 2 weeks ago when I realized "I was becoming annoyed over everyday things". By this I mean, even the smallest thing bothered me -- which is totally out of the norm for me!"
In reality, WE the shoppers are lucky the employees (good or bad) show up for work & most are friendly. Maybe, not knowledgeable on things I need but think about they MUST wear the mask 8 hours/day to earn a living & maybe feed a family!
My food shopping habits have changed drastically. I loved to browse the food store leisurely. Think about what I'd bake or cook now no matter what store I'm in and out -- list in hand.
I hear ya about dept stores -- same stuff but our Macy's is the worse, JCP right behind even before COVID☹️☹️☹️. Luckily I really do not need to go to these type of stores.
I know its frustrating, my spouse can't wear a mask for true health reasons -- can't breathe. I am now doing everything I took for "granted" when he was in good health.
May you have better experiences ahead...we are all feeling "frustrated with the new way of life" I know I AM!!!

I kiddingly said to the girl out front oh I would have parked on the other side. She says well there's a sign on the barrier but you couldn't see the sign from the diabled parking. She says oh your right you must be new, I said no. She says well then you should have known about the sign! What!!! Wow won't be going back there. You don't talk back to a customer!
I stopped at our Walmart yesterday for the first time since last fall, and I was surprised to see the one side closed off as well. Of course the things I needed were on the closed side, so I had to go clear across the lot, the store and back. I have such bad knees, it wasn't a fun trip, for sure, but I did get some steps in! LOL

@Mominohio I hear mixed messages from you. On the one hand, you're self sufficient and prepared for stuff to happen, and have good supplies, but then you're always out there shopping.

Except for grocery shopping once every 3 weeks I have been successful in getting everything else I need online including sneakers and underwear. Honestly I'd be much more stressed going into stores and having to interact with people during this pandemic than doing without things I need but online shopping has been great.
As far as a mask I have breathing issues since 9/11 and have a little bit of a problem breathing with a mask only when it's excessively muggy out while walking my dog. I have the disposable surgical masks. I wear glasses for protection and have had no problem with fogging since my glasses sit on top of my mask. I see too many people wearing their mask too low on their face. It has to be high up on the bridge of the nose and right up under the eyes.
